National University of Study and Research in Law is a law university located in Ranchi, India. It was established by a legislative act of the Government of Jharkhand as the fourteenth national law university of India. A. K.National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi has been established to further the cause of legal education in its manifold spheres of knowledge, development and dissemination; coupled with the capacity building of state and non state institutions; specializing in relevant legal technological interrelationship and above all strengthening the legal system at all levels. Student centered legal education with global perspectives; preparing students as future legal professionals in law practice, academic and public policy are going to be the mainstay of this University. It is well known that for the purpose of social, economic and political betterment of a nation, legal system plays a cardinal role and as such better legal education would be the core principle of the University.
The University has been crafted with a vision to revolutionize the legal education so that the lawyers of tomorrow are fully geared to face ever emerging national and international legal challenges. Living as we in the era of international scientific civilization, this University will develop linkages with global legal educational institutions in the field of legal education, other collaborative efforts and exchange programmes so that students of the University are competitive, nationally as well as internationally.
